Adoption Artist of the Month

Photographer: Katrina Keterling

Today, Katrina has been posting her photos of roots and trees and putting them with words and quotes to various adoption Facebook pages to spread the word about the feelings behind adoption. Katrina’s goal is to show how it feels through her images the losses and gains of adoption, search and reunion.   Katrina's hope is that her images may begin to spark discussions on adoption and opens people's eyes to the feelings behind adoption.  Katrina feels that it is often hard to find the words to your feelings behind adoption and when it’s showed in an artistic way it can reach the hearts of many.

Katrina Ketring currently resides in Greensboro, North Carolina and currently works as a social worker with the elderly and disabled in a state Medicaid home health program. Katrina has taken the photographs for her works website and her images are framed around the agency.  Katrina is also part of a Rockingham photography group called Through our Eyes, where her photography is showed at various exhibits around Rockingham County. Katrina Ketring can be reached on Facebook on her Facebook page Adoption: Lost and Found; Roots of Adoption:  Lost and Found or simply emailing her on Facebook.
