It is about the connection that birth parents feel with their children and their desire to know them as adults. It is about adoptive families and their support for openness at every stage of the adoption journey
It is about adoption and why secrets and fear have no place in it.
We all know people whose lives are touched by adoption. They are our neighbors...our friends...our colleagues...our extended families...our sons and our daughters…ourselves.
The American Adoption Congress is a national nonprofit organization made up of individuals, families and organizations committed to adoption reform...the voice for people whose lives are touched by adoption or other loss of family continuity.
The American Adoption Congress encourages honesty, openness and respect for family connections and provides education about the lifelong journey of adoption. Everyone has the right to access information about his or her family heritage.
